Wrong Turn (2021)

Wrong Turn is an American slasher film series created by director Rob Schmidt and writers Alan B. McElroy, Adam Cooper and Bill Collage (uncredited). The series consists of seven films, five of which share the same continuity, while the later two films serve as reboots. The films originally focus on various families of deformed cannibals who hunt and kill a group of people in West Virginia in horrific ways by using a mixture of traps and weaponry. The reboot film features a centuries-old cult in Virginia who respond violently to outsiders who intrude on their self-sufficient civilization. The film series became known primarily as a direct-to-video franchise grossing $21.8 million in home video sales.
